Little Elm, Royse City and Wylie win thrillers


Hebron kept his playoff hopes alive by beating Plano West 35-32 as Braxton Baker threw for 339 yards and four touchdowns. Plano West missed a 46-yard field goal attempt with 3:29 left that could have tied the game. Hebron will enter Week 11 tied with Plano for fourth in District 6-6A.

–Four-star running back Caden Durham put on a show, rushing for 309 yards and five touchdowns on just 19 carries as Duncanville beat DeSoto 41-17 to win the district title 11-6A. Duncanville clinched the first seed in Division I. Read more about the game here.

–Landen Chambers rushed for 231 yards and three touchdowns as Keller Fossil Ridge beat Keller Central 35-7 to keep playoff hopes alive.

Tay’lon Jackson scored on a 42-yard rush and quarterback Kellen Tasby ran in the two-point conversion with 3:42 left as Little Elm beat Denton Braswell 29-28. Little Elm trailed 28-14 with four minutes left, before Jaydon Perine scored on a 17-yard run and then Little Elm recovered a kick in play.

5 Thoughts from Week 10: The weather is taking its toll; Panther Creek makes the playoffs as a freshman

– Mitchell Stokes threw a 37-yard field goal in overtime to give Royse City a 31-28 win over Rockwall-Heath. Royse City tied with 4:09 left in regulation time when Sam Mitchum scored from a 1-yard run.

– Wylie beat Sachse 19-17, winning on a 66-yard TD pass from Jagger Bale to Sean Carter with 4:10 left.

–Mansfield Timberview, ranked No. 2 in the state in Class 5A Division I, clinched the No. 1 seed in District 5-5A Division I with a 59-24 victory over Richland. Cameron Bates and Jarvis Reed each ran for three touchdowns. To learn more about the game, go here.
