SAN ANTONIO — A look at how the University of Houston’s commitments went during Week 2 of the high school football season:

Klein Forest running back Parker Jenkins returned a kickoff for a touchdown for the second week in a row – this time a 95-yarder to seal a 24-17 win over Humble. Jenkins added 15 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Jalyn Stanford led another solid defensive effort for Jenks High School of Tulsa, Okla., in a 14-7 win over Owasso. In two games, Jenks has allowed just one point on defense. While Sanford was canceled on offense — he had 4 yards on five carries — he delivered several big hits on defense, including a last-minute pass breakup in which he broke his nose. “I like to do whatever I can, take people out in all circumstances,” Sanford told Tulsa World.

Harker Heights running back Re’Shaun Sanford rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the first half of a 27-13 win over Smithsonian Valley.

Commitment safety Jamaal Shaw rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown on nine carries for West Orange-Stark in a 38-32 win over Little Cypress-Mauriceville.
