CLYMER – The Great Commission Girls won the Clymer Calvary Baptist basketball tournament on Saturday with a 29-16 victory over Calvary Baptist.

Tournament MVP Kyla Campbell led the overall standings with 17 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocks. Emily Longstreth and Gabi Lawson have joined Campbell in the tournament squad.

Hoover Finalist

INDIANA, Pa. – Penn Cambria’s Trent Hoover finished second in the Mid-Winter Mayhem wrestling tournament on Saturday at IUP.

Hoover lost a 3-1 decision to Clearfield’s Brady Collins in the Championship game.

Elsewhere for Penn Cambria, Mason Raymond finished sixth, Braedan Oravecz eighth

Nic Eppihimer of Hollidaysburg was fifth with a 3-1 decision over Raymond, Aaron Sleeth of the Tigers was sixth and the team was 22nd out of 30 teams.

CC passes 3-2

EVERETT – Central Cambria went 3-2 on Saturday at the Everett Bloody Run Duals tournament in high school wrestling, beating Meyersdale, James Buchanan and Moshannon Valley.
