Kristen Leigh is an artist and surface pattern designer residing in Houston, Texas. After spending five years cultivating her brand as a calligrapher and wedding stationer, she discovered new inspiration through creating watercolor illustrations and designs. Kristen’s classic and playful style paired with fresh color palettes are a common theme throughout all of her unique designs- be it a textile pattern, apparel pattern, or custom illustration.
She is a self-taught creative whose artistry is influenced by the joyful curiosity of her two children. Her work is driven by the hope that she can bring a little light into every day. When she’s not doodling or designing, Kristen enjoys her early bird mornings with big cups of coffee, long runs, and spending time with her family.
Named after a street in her close-knit neighborhood in Houston, the Morningside collection reflects the feeling of home and the sense of ease and comfort that home brings to many. The artistic details are not unlike the care that goes into our homes and the pride people take in making their homes uniquely theirs.
The collection includes nine fabric designs and eight wallpaper designs each in two to four colorways. Kristen Leigh for Stout Morningside collection features scalloped, floral, and soft geometric designs in colorways such as harbor, lilac, denim, and spring.
